Step 1: Install FlexCheckout
Requirements
- WordPress 5.8 or higher
- WooCommerce 6.0 or higher (Required)
- PHP 7.4 or higher
Installation
From WordPress.org:
- Go to Plugins β Add New
- Search for "FlexCheckout"
- Click Install, then Activate
Manual Installation (Pro):
- Download the .zip file after purchase
- Go to Plugins β Add New β Upload Plugin
- Upload the .zip file and activate
- Enter your license key in FlexCheckout β License
Step 2: Run the Setup Wizard
When you first activate FlexCheckout, the Setup Wizard will automatically launch. This wizard helps you:
- Choose your checkout type (Classic or Blocks)
- Import pre-built field templates
- Configure basic settings
- Create your first conditional rule
The wizard takes less than 2 minutes to complete!
Step 3: Create Your First Rule
Conditional rules let you show, hide, or require fields based on specific conditions.
Example: Show Company Field for B2B Customers
- Go to FlexCheckout β Rules β Add New
- Set Action: "Show Fields"
- Select Field: "Company Name" (or create custom field)
- Add Condition: "User Role" = "Wholesale Customer"
- Save Rule
That's it! Now the company field only shows for wholesale customers.
Step 4: Add Custom Fields
Create custom checkout fields to collect exactly what you need:
- Go to FlexCheckout β Custom Fields β Add New
- Choose field type (text, dropdown, date picker, etc.)
- Set label and placeholder
- Choose position (billing section, after order notes, etc.)
- Set width (full, half, third, quarter)
- Save Field
Pro Tip: Use the Templates Library to quickly add common fields like Gift Message, Delivery Date, or VAT Number.
Pro Features Setup
Multi-Step Checkout
Break your checkout into steps for better conversion:
- Go to FlexCheckout β Settings β Multi-Step
- Enable multi-step checkout
- Configure your steps (Contact, Shipping, Payment, etc.)
- Customize progress indicator style
Address Book
Let customers save multiple addresses:
- Go to FlexCheckout β Settings β Address Book
- Enable address book
- Set maximum addresses (default: 5)
- Customers can now save and quick-select addresses
